# Hello  👋

This is an experiment: it documents part of my work as a Google Season of Docs technical writer on Open Collective at the same time it displays a few of my ideas on how smart documentation should look like. Think of it as a meta doc of some sort. We will cover topics like structure, mapping, writing style, accessibility issues and engaging content.

At the same time, I am using this GitBook as an open classroom to understand better the platform which Open Collective uses to write, edit and publish [their docs](https://docs.opencollective.com).

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://documentarians.gitbook.io/metadocumentation/redirect/undefined.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
